What is the Process?
Any child eligible for admission to a traditional public school is also eligible for admission to a public charter school. This includes English learners, non-U.S. citizens, students with disabilities, low-income, students who are struggling academically or require additional academic support. Admission to a charter school cannot be limited on the basis of physical or mental disability , race, creed, gender, gender identity, national origin, religion, religious affiliation, ancestry, immigration status, sexual orientation, or measures of achievement or aptitude. Charter schools must accept all students who wish to attend, so long as there is space. If enrollment is not open, a lottery will be used to fill vacancies.
